A finalist at three Grand Slam tournaments, former World No. 2, and an emblematic figure of world tennis, Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) has left her mark on the recent history of the sport. A true pioneer not just in her North African nation but across the Arab world and for women’s tennis globally, she continues to inspire on and far beyond the courts.
This summer, during the WTA 125 Montreux Nestlé Open 2025, the champion supported a tournament dedicated to placing young women players and young people at its very heart. She took the opportunity to back local initiatives and share her experience with the younger generation, emphasising perseverance, hard work, and boldness. Her visit also featured a symbolic mini-clinic for young enthusiasts — blending laughter, technical advice, and powerful messages.
Ons spoke about her life as a professional athlete, her commitment to breaking barriers in tennis and women’s sport, and her role as a global ambassador for the fitness and wellness brand Kayanee — encouraging young women to pursue their dreams and find their place in their communities and on the international stage. The group also discussed the Foundation’s priorities, particularly in Ons’ home country, Tunisia, where inclusive and accessible infrastructure is urgently needed to better serve youth, teenagers, and the elderly — including safe spaces that foster physical health, social connection, belonging, and pride.
What struck Druid Sport’s Rowena Younes and Nicolas Duchoud most was Ons’ unwavering commitment to these roles alongside her tennis career. She applies the same determination, creativity, and flair she shows in constructing points on the court to advancing her missions and projects.
The momentum behind women’s sport is undeniable: profile, visibility, and investment have grown dramatically in recent years. These strides are significant, yet it still takes powerful and courageous women like Ons to accelerate change and ensure that equal opportunities in sport are fully realised.
At Druid Sport, as experienced global sports marketers, we are fully aware of the scale of women’s sport and the growing demand for recognition. We firmly believe the rise of women’s sport represents one of the most exciting and transformative movements in our industry and society. As an agency, we are at the start of developing our women’s sport practice.
